Since Smasher\u2019s cracking debut at Doomben on 9 January, Written Tycoon has been represented by 13 runners in Australia with wins to Writteninthestars, Ambrosia, Grand Tycoon (4 from 4) and the stakes placed Write Cheek \u2013 all in the city \u2013 plus metrop placings to Written Eleison, Vibrant Rouge and Karisha.<\/div>\n

Well, he was it again on Sunday with just the two runners \u2013 both in the same race at Ballarat.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra trained, May Rain, got the upper hand in the Tracy the Placement People Maiden Plate over 1400m, with Beverley Lechmere\u2019s Written Intent running on strongly for third.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
It was a much deserved victory for May Rain who has clearly had little luck leading into Sunday\u2019s assignment. After racing greenly on debut at Caulfield last June, the filly \u2013 from the Danehill mare Dantain \u2013 jumped awkwardly and finished fifth on resuming in December, knuckled over at the start and ran third at Ballarat and, leading into yesterday\u2019s win, was beaten a whisker when second at Pakenham.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
