{"id":3670,"date":"2012-09-27T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-09-27T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/archive.rockylhc.com\/2015\/elizapark\/?p=3670"},"modified":"2012-09-27T14:00:00","modified_gmt":"2012-09-27T14:00:00","slug":"four-out-of-five-aint-bad-its-great","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.rockylhc.com\/2015\/elizapark\/four-out-of-five-aint-bad-its-great\/","title":{"rendered":"FOUR OUT OF FIVE AIN\u2019T BAD \u2026 IT\u2019S GREAT!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">It\u2019s probably heresy to mention Meat Loaf\u2019s name in Grand Final week, but the rotund warbler was once famous for belting out a tune, Two Out of Three Ain\u2019t Bad.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">Well, prolific young sire, God\u2019s Own, has made a couple of adjustments for inflation and yesterday went like a bat out of hell with four winners from just five starters.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">Fresh from a thrilling win at Doomben on Wednesday with the speedy Man of Money, God\u2019s Own kicked off with a double at Seymour to Cool God (ex. Canny Lady mare Freezing Point) and Canonized (ex. Rather Grand by Grand Lodge), along with victories to Lady Pania (ex. Tannadice Park by Rory\u2019s Jester) in Queensland and God\u2019s Secret (ex. Secret Trick by Fasliyev) in South Australia.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">It could easily have been a clean sweep for the day when God Help Us (ex. By Any Means by Stravinsky) was sent out favourite in the Australian Sun Energy Handicap at Mt Gambier after winning at his previous outing, but he dwelt at the start before running on solidly for fourth.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">Overall, it was difficult to isolate one from the quality quartet: Lady Pania was having only her second run up north and won comfortably as favourite, stretching her earnings out to over $100k, while the lightly tried Canonized raced like the favourite he was by scoring over the mile.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">On the other hand, Cool God looks like he\u2019s going places for the Ellerton\/Zahra duet and it was just desserts for God\u2019s Secret who has been knocking on the door since resuming in July.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">Now, while Mr Loaf is not likely to be wanted or needed by anyone in the sporting sphere anytime soon, we can name you four sets of owners that love their God!
