{"id":4160,"date":"2010-11-22T12:48:00","date_gmt":"2010-11-22T12:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/archive.rockylhc.com\/2015\/elizapark\/?p=4160"},"modified":"2010-11-22T12:48:00","modified_gmt":"2010-11-22T12:48:00","slug":"davids-wave-of-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.rockylhc.com\/2015\/elizapark\/davids-wave-of-success\/","title":{"rendered":"DAVID\u2019S WAVE OF SUCCESS"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<p>With 11 popular sires to contend with this spring, Eliza Park\u2019s stallion manager \u2013 David Grant \u2013 has been busier than a one-armed bricklayer in Baghdad.<br \/>However, David (<i>left<\/i>) has managed to watch the family-owned mare, Delta Gee, go through her paces this spring, including a brilliant second in the Group Three Tesio at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate day.<br \/>Trained by David\u2019s brother, Michael, Delta Gee has now won four (and placed in seven) for $240,955 in stakes, with career highlights including a stakes win in Perth and a Group second at Flemington in the autumn.<br \/>Now David and his family has the distinction of breeding the third highest priced <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.rockylhc.com\/2015\/elizapark\/stallions_delago_brom_profile.html\">DELAGO BROM<\/a> to go through a sale ring when the flashy 2YO from stakes winning Blackfriars mare Wave Rock \u2013 a half sister to Delta Gee \u2013 was knocked down for $NZ180,000 at last week\u2019s New Zealand Ready To Run Sale at Karaka.<br \/>It\u2019s certainly been a big couple of weeks for Delago Brom with three stakes performers on Sandown Cup day (including a fourth to classy 2YO Miss Zoom in the Merson Cooper-LR) and winners on Friday (De Lady Royale) and Saturday (Copy Rites).<br \/>De Lady Royale (bred by Springhill Park Stud, Ashley Adsett, Brian Sargent, Tony Parsons, Ken McDonald and Alan Trewartha) is out of the County mare County Royale, a half sister to Blue Diamond Prelude-G3 winner St Rory.
