In his first five starts, Squamosa established himself as a brilliant speedster, winning four races, including both his outings at two, and at three taking the Run to the Rose Handicap (gr. III), scoring a runway victory over older horses in the June Stakes, and running Toorak Toff to a ½ length in the Golden Rose Stakes (gr. I). Squamos is by Redoute’s Choice’s exciting young sire son, Not a Single Doubt out of the multiple stakes winning two-year-old, Class Success.
