      WINDY MONTH WITH BEL DOUBLE

Prior to Oregon Spirit’s black type victory in the Lord Stakes, another Bel Esprit in King’s Spirit got the ball rolling at Mornington with a convincing score in the Total Commercial Plate over 1200m.

It was the first win for the lightly raced 3YO, but King’s Spirit hasn’t been out of the money in three outings, and was sent out favourite when second at Moonee Valley on 13 December.

Boasting a double up of Vain, King’s Spirit is out of the 4-time winning Keltrice mare, Sheedy’s Sheila, a half sister to Randwick stakes winner Law of Logic.

Bred by Windy Hill Thoroughbreds, it’s been a big month for Max and Judi Clarke (below) who also bred Bel Esprit 7YO, Vetwrap, who won at Kilmore on 3 December.
