#ReadyForVictory … probably won’t be the last time that hashtag is used! This from ANZ Bloodstock News this morning:
“Ready For Victory raced in eighth place, one off the rails. He improved coming to the home turn but then hung out badly, at his first start this direction. He continued to make ground in the centre of the track, despite racing greenly and drifting wider, to finish (1.8 lengths) fourth. It was only his second start and he is a colt with unlimited potential.”
And what did jockey Nick Hall reckon?
“Make no mistake he would have won that race had he tracked true. It’s onwards to the Sires’ Produce Stakes.”
He’ll be in good company according to Serenade’s hoop, Craig Williams: “She ran great. She just hasn’t got that tactical gate speed for a Golden Slipper two-year-old, but the way that she closed off I can’t wait to get her out to seven furlongs.”
