      PROMISING DEBUT BY WANTED COLT

The first runner by boom sire, Wanted, made his debut at Rosehill on Saturday and, while the Gai Waterhouse trained, Francesco, didn’t come away a winner, he showed more than enough promise to indicate that a decent score isn’t far away.

Racing greenly, Francesco looked like he’d hoist the flag but was caught on the wire by Peter Snowden’s Kumaon, missing by a short head (Francesco was subsequently relegated to third after it was deemed that he’d caused interference to his stablemate, Cyclone).

Purchased by Waterhouse for $320,000 at the Gold Coast Magic Millions in January, Francesco is out of the Favorite Trick mare, With Love, who is also the dam of multiple stakes winning 2YO, Hoss Amor.

      Put him in your book!
