      BUSHRANGER ON TRIAL

It’s somewhat fitting that the first ‘appearance’ by a Bushranger 2YO in Australia – particularly one called Glenrowan Prince – should win a trial at Wangaratta.

The Wang racecourse is around 10 minutes drive from the spot where Ned Kelly staged his famous last stand, but based on the ease of Glenrowan Prince’s trial win, he could be like Ned and soon end up in Melbourne … hopefully with a better result!

Bred by the Clarkes’ Windy Hill Thoroughbreds at Strath Creek, Glenrowan Prince was sold on their behalf by Eliza Park International at last year’s Melbourne Premier, with Bendigo trainer, Kym Hann, snapping up the youngster for $35,000.

Based on the manner of his trial win on Wednesday, it may well be a bargain buy.
